Diners enjoying a hot cup of joe at Holiday Inn & Suites Makati can now order for a “Krookie” to go with their coffee. A “Krookie” combines the flaky, melt in your mouth goodness of a croissant and the flavorful, chewiness of a cookie.
“It’s the perfect marriage of two classic baked goodies: the croissant and the cream-filled chocolate cookie sandwich. It’s croissant with a cookie, it’s a cookie in a croissant,” smiles Tisha De Belen-Pasia, the hotel’s Food and Beverage Manager. “It combines a variety of textures in one bite.”
Holiday Inn’s Krookies come in five flavors. The decadent chocolate and rich peanut butter Krookies are definitely the top choices of the java-drinking crowd. The delicate vanilla Krookies, whose flavor is reminiscent of English biscuits, go well with hot tea. Other Krookie flavors available are chocolate mint and strawberry.
“A box of Krookies can brighten up a meeting or make for a unique gift,” adds Pasia. Krookies are priced at 95 pesos each and are exclusively available at the hotel.
Holiday Inn & Suites Makati is directly connected to the world-renowned Glorietta Mall, along Palm Drive in Ayala Center Makati. For more details on the hotel or to book a stay, please log on to www.holidayinn.com/makati. For Krookie orders, please call 9090888.
