First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) will be holding its 3rd Advent Parade and People’s Lantern Exhibition (APPLE) on December 7, 2011 with the theme “Isapuso Natin ang Diwa ng Pasko.” The parade will feature lanterns made of recycled and indigenous materials.  The parade and lantern-making competition will be participated in by FAITH college student organizations and High School classes. FAITH also invites barangays ang Sangguniang Kabataan groups from Tanauan, Batangas to join the parade and competition.

The event is an annual activity of the school which aims to spread the Christmas spirit among the members of its community while inculcating the importance of protecting the environment. In the previous years, the participants made use of banana leaves, coconut husks and shells, old cardboard boxes, rags, and even egg shells to make their lanterns.

All the lanterns will be on display at the FAITH campus in Tanauan, Batangas for the whole month of December.  For inquiries about the parade or how to join the contest, please call (043) 778-0656/4136 loc. 341or e-mail
