Protecting Wood

Nuemann & Mueller takes its task of protecting wood seriously.

The company recently partnered with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources National Capital Region (DENR NCR) and the Philippine Wood Producers Association for a tree-planting activity held recently at the National Bilibid Prison Reservation in Muntinlupa City.

Mr. Tony Olizon of PWPA with Former Governor Tony Leviste of the Trees for Life Foundation led the ceremonies.

The event was organized to promote the preservation of the country’s precious natural resources like hardwood trees and to help mitigate disasters caused by natural calamities like typhoons.

Employees of Neumann & Mueller Philippines, Bayer Phils. Inc., Timberco and Wonderworker Distributors joined the event to plant  more than 150 species of mahogany, narra and acacia.

“Wood is a very important resource and we need to protect it.  We have seen how crucial it is for everybody to take up their share in protecting wood from our exposure all over the country.” says Josefina Duenas, Material Protection Division Manager of Nuemann and Mueller Philippines Inc.

The company’s team of wood protection experts has been promoting proper wood protection to wood producers and manufacturers, and other sectors where wood is a major materials component all over the country.

“With limited resources available, it is important for these sectors to protect what they have,” adds Duenas.

The company is offering Dacrol, which provides world proven control from wood infesting insects to fungi and mold-causing organisms. With active ingredients supplied through Bayer Philippines, Dacrol comes in three formulations, which addresses specific problems of drywood and subterranean termites, powder-post beetles, rotting, blue-staining fungi and various molds.

These  formulations are the wood insecticide product Dacrol TM-CE25, wood fungicide Dacrol -F and Dacrol Combi-EC, the powerful combination of the two.
